The present volumes contains studies on Albanian and other Balkan languages by Victor Friedman.Trained as a Slavist and liguist, prof. Friedman developed an increasing interest in Albanian from 1975 onwards. Indeed, Albanian came to be one of the focal points of his scholarly activities, though he has also been active in other Balkan languages, Turkish and the languages of Caucasus.
